Who is George Washington Carver?
George Washington Carver is thought to have been born around 1864, in Diamond, Missouri. He was born into slavery and unfortunately his exact birthdate is unknown. He was tragically orphaned as an infant and after was raised by the Carver family. Due to them raising him like their own and treating him with kindness he was able to through their encouragement pursue his education. Even though he there was a lot of racism and racial prejudice in his lifetime, it did not stop his family nor George himself in doing all that was possible to achieve his dreams. Agriculture is the process of clearing land, growing crops, and raising animals to provide food, fiber, and other goods that improve and sustain human life. Among other labor-intensive tasks, it include tilling the soil, planting, harvesting, and tending to livestock. Planting crops to produce food, fiber, and other items is known as crop production. These include providing water, controlling insects, preparing plants for planting, and harvesting. Raising animals for meat, milk, eggs, wool, and other goods is known as animal husbandry. This means ensuring the health and welfare of animals as well as providing them with care and monitoring. The process of preserving and enhancing soil health to increase crop yields and advance sustainability is known as soil management. The process of adding trees and shrubs to agricultural systems for a variety of benefits, such as increased biodiversity, greater soil health, and additional revenue sources, is known as agroforestry. Upkeep Growing food for one’s family and the needs of the neighborhood, typically with little left over for trade, is the practice of agriculture. Profit-driven farming that generates large quantities of items for sale on local, national, or international markets is known as commercial agriculture. Techniques used in sustainable agriculture maintain environmental health, economic viability, and social fairness. Its primary goals are to help rural populations, reduce environmental impact, and save resources.
